Generator vibrates excessively during operation, causing enclosure to shake

Safety first: Do not place hands on vibrating components while running. Shut down the unit before tightening hardware.

• Step 1 – Inspect mounting hardware: Verify that the generator skid is securely anchored to the pad. Tighten anchor bolts as needed.
• Step 2 – Check vibration isolators: Look at the rubber isolators between engine/alternator and skid. Replace any that are cracked, oil‑soaked, or collapsed.
• Step 3 – Evaluate engine performance: Listen for misfires or uneven running. Replace fuel and air filters and check injectors or spark plugs as needed.
• Step 4 – Professional balancing: If vibration persists and engine runs smoothly, the alternator rotor may be out of balance and should be checked by a specialist.
