Possible Causes
Failed fuel shutoff solenoid, Loose solenoid wiring, Low supply voltage to solenoid, Sticking solenoid plunger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable AUTO and ensure no ignition sources are near fuel components.
- Listen for solenoid click: When switching to RUN or during crank, listen near the fuel pump/injection pump for a distinct click from the fuel solenoid. No click suggests a power or coil issue.
- Check voltage: With a multimeter, verify that the solenoid receives the correct DC voltage from the controller when commanded ON.
- Inspect wiring: Tighten loose terminals and repair damaged wires between controller and solenoid.
- Replace solenoid: If voltage is present but the solenoid does not actuate or gets very hot, replace it with a Pramac-specified fuel shutoff solenoid.
