Possible Causes
ATS not sending start signal, Faulty ATS control board, Broken control cable between ATS and generator, Incorrect controller auto mode setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Utility and generator power can both be present. Only qualified personnel should open the ATS.
- Confirm AUTO mode: Ensure the Pramac controller is set to AUTO and no active alarms are present.
- Simulate mains failure: If safe, open the mains breaker feeding the ATS and observe whether the generator receives a start command.
- Check control cable: Inspect the multi-core cable between ATS and generator for damage. Verify continuity of start signal wires.
- ATS board: If the generator never receives a start signal, the ATS control board or sensing circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
