Possible Causes

Defective ignition coil, Faulty spark plug, Damaged spark plug wire, Control board ignition driver failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect the battery. Allow the engine to cool before removing spark plugs.

  • Inspect spark plug: Remove the plug and check for wear, cracks, or heavy deposits. Replace with the exact Pulsar-specified plug if in doubt.
  • Check spark plug wire: Inspect the high-tension lead for cracks, burns, or loose boots. Ensure both ends are firmly seated.
  • Test for spark (advanced users): Reconnect the plug wire to the plug, ground the plug body to the engine, and briefly crank the engine while observing for a strong blue spark at the gap. If no spark, the ignition coil or control board may be faulty.

If replacing the spark plug and wire does not restore spark, the ignition coil or control PCB will likely need replacement by a technician.
