Possible Causes
Open control wiring between ATS and generator, Incorrect start signal configuration in controller, Faulty remote start relay on control board, Blown control fuse
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable automatic start and lock out the transfer switch before working on control wiring.
- Check controller settings: On the Scheppach digital controller, enter the configuration menu and verify that Auto Mode is enabled and the correct remote start type (2‑wire/3‑wire) is selected according to the Scheppach ATS.
- Inspect control cable: Trace the low‑voltage control cable from the ATS to the generator control terminal block. Look for cuts, crushed sections, or loose terminals. Tighten all screws and repair damaged cable.
- Test start signal: Simulate a mains failure at the ATS (per manufacturer instructions) and measure voltage or continuity at the generator's remote start terminals. If the signal is present at the ATS but not at the generator, the cable is open.
- Check control fuse: Locate the low‑voltage control fuse on the Scheppach control board. Replace if blown and investigate for shorts before re‑energizing.
- Remote start relay: If the controller shows E07 even with a valid signal, the internal remote start relay or control board may be defective and require replacement.
