How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect battery negative before inspecting wiring.
- Wiggle test: With the generator running (and proper precautions), gently move wiring harnesses and connectors to see if movement causes shutdown. Focus on the control board, fuel pump, and battery cables.
- Check grounds: Clean and tighten all ground straps between engine, frame, and control panel.
- Inspect fuel pump: Monitor fuel pump operation and temperature. Replace if it stops intermittently or becomes excessively hot.
- Control board cooling: Ensure ventilation openings around the Scheppach controller are not blocked. Overheating can cause random resets.
