Possible Causes
Cracked fuel hose, Loose hose clamp at fuel filter, Leaking fuel pump, Damaged fuel tank or sender gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and eliminate all ignition sources. Do not smoke near fuel.
- Visual inspection: Open the access panels and inspect all fuel hoses, the Scheppach fuel filter, pump, and tank seams for wet spots or drips.
- Tighten clamps: Gently tighten hose clamps at all connections. Replace any clamps that are rusted or stripped.
- Replace damaged hoses: If hoses are cracked or hardened, replace them with fuel‑rated hose of the same diameter and secure with new clamps.
- Check sender gasket: Inspect the fuel level sender flange on top of the tank. Replace the gasket if there is seepage.
- Test under operation: After repairs, run the generator and recheck for leaks before closing the enclosure.
