Possible Causes

Emergency stop pushbutton engaged, Faulty emergency stop switch contacts, Open circuit in emergency stop wiring loop, Loose terminal in SDMO control panel safety chain

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Confirm that no real emergency condition exists before resetting any emergency stop devices.

  • Check emergency stop button: Locate the red mushroom E-stop on the SDMO generator or remote panel. Twist or pull to reset it. Verify that the button latches in the released position.
  • Inspect E-stop contacts: Open the E-stop enclosure and check the contact block for damage or loose wires. Replace the switch if contacts are burnt or mechanically faulty.
  • Trace safety loop wiring: Follow the emergency stop circuit through the SDMO control panel terminals. Look for broken wires, loose screws, or corrosion at terminal blocks.
  • Test continuity: With power off, measure continuity across the E-stop loop. It should be closed when all safety devices are reset. Repair any open circuits.
  • Clear AL09: After restoring the safety loop, reset the alarm on the controller and test a manual start.
