• Observe fuel filters: Check for air bubbles in clear filter bowls while running. Persistent bubbles indicate suction leaks.
• Inspect tank vent: Ensure the fuel tank vent is open and not blocked by debris or paint. A vacuum in the tank will cause stalling.
• Check fuel shutoff solenoid: Verify that the Volvo Penta fuel shutoff solenoid remains energized after start. If it drops out due to wiring or controller issues, repair the circuit or replace the solenoid.
• Inspect fuel lines: Look for soft, kinked, or collapsed hoses between tank and engine. Replace any suspect sections.
