Generator runs but does not transfer power to the building; no error code displayed

Safety first: This involves work on high-voltage equipment. Only qualified personnel should open the ATS. Isolate both utility and generator sources and verify de-energized before touching internal parts.

• Check generator output: Confirm the generator is producing correct voltage and frequency at its terminals with a multimeter.
• Verify ATS control signal: Check that the Wacker Neuson controller is sending a transfer signal (dry contact closure or voltage) to the ATS when in AUTO and utility is absent.
• Inspect ATS mechanism: With power off, manually operate the transfer mechanism (if provisioned). Ensure it moves freely and latches in both positions.
• Test contactor coil: Measure coil resistance and verify it energizes when the transfer signal is present. Replace the contactor if the coil is open or the contacts are burnt.
• Check interlocks: Verify any mechanical or electrical interlocks are not preventing transfer.
• Restore service: After repairs, test a full transfer sequence under supervision.
