Failed fuel shutoff solenoid, Stuck mechanical stop linkage, Open stop relay contacts, Wiring fault in stop circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Be prepared to use the mechanical emergency stop or fuel shutoff if the engine will not stop.
- Use manual stop: Operate the mechanical stop lever on the injection pump or use the emergency stop button to shut down.
- Inspect fuel shutoff solenoid: Check for clicking sound when stop is commanded. Measure voltage at the solenoid. Replace if it does not actuate with proper voltage.
- Check stop relay: Verify that the relay energizes and passes power to the solenoid when stop is commanded.
- Linkage inspection: Ensure the stop lever and linkage move freely and are not jammed.
