Safety first: Turn controller to OFF, open main AC breaker, and disconnect negative battery cable before cleaning corrosion.

• Clean battery terminals: Use a baking soda and water solution with a brush to neutralize acid on terminals. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
• Apply protectant: After reassembly, coat battery terminals with dielectric grease or battery terminal spray.
• Inspect enclosure seals: Check door gaskets and cable entry points for gaps. Repair or replace seals to reduce moisture ingress.
• Ensure drainage: Verify that any enclosure drain holes are clear so water cannot accumulate.
