How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable AUTO and shut down the engine before opening the enclosure.
- Inspect air filter: Open the air filter housing and remove the air filter element. If dirty or oil-soaked, replace with a genuine Winco-specified filter.
- Clean housing: Wipe out dust and debris from the air box. Ensure the cover gasket is intact.
- Check intake vents: Clear leaves, snow, or nests from the generator intake louvers.
After replacement, clear the E18 warning and run the unit under load to confirm normal operation.
