Possible Causes
Loose or damaged oil filter, Loose drain plug, Crankcase gasket leak, Overfilled crankcase causing breather discharge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disable AUTO and allow the engine to cool. Clean up spilled oil to prevent slips.
- Locate source: Wipe the engine clean and run briefly while observing for fresh oil around the oil filter, drain plug, and gaskets.
- Tighten components: Hand-tighten the oil filter and snug the drain plug to the specified torque. Do not overtighten.
- Check oil level: Ensure oil is not overfilled above the dipstick full mark.
- Replace gaskets/seals: If leaks persist from a gasket or seal, the affected gasket (e.g., crankcase cover) should be replaced.
Significant leaks or leaks from crank seals should be addressed by a technician.
