Generator enclosure is very hot to the touch and internal components show signs of heat stress, but no overtemp code is present.

Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and allow the unit to cool before touching internal parts.

• Clear obstructions: Remove leaves, debris, or snow from around the enclosure. Maintain Yamaha-specified clearance distances on all sides.
• Clean louvers and screens: Brush or vacuum dust and dirt from intake and exhaust grilles.
• Inspect cooling fan: On units with electric or belt-driven fans, verify that the fan operates when the engine runs. Replace failed fan motors or belts.
• Clean radiator/fins: Blow compressed air through the radiator or cylinder cooling fins from the inside out to remove dust buildup.
