Washer-dryer combo will not start a cycle and displays dET on the control panel.

Safety first: Unplug the combo unit or switch off the circuit breaker before removing panels or working near wiring.

• Check drawer position: Open the detergent dispenser drawer fully and inspect for obstructions (caked detergent, foreign objects). Clean with warm water and a soft brush.
• Re-seat the drawer: Slide the drawer back in firmly until you feel it click into place. Try starting a cycle again.
• Inspect drawer rails and latch: Look for cracked plastic rails or a broken latch tab. If damaged, the drawer may not push the internal switch far enough; replace the detergent dispenser drawer assembly.
• Check the drawer switch (if accessible): With power disconnected, remove the top panel or console as per the service manual. Locate the small switch or sensor that detects the drawer. Ensure its actuator is not bent or broken and that the wiring harness is firmly connected.
• Test continuity: Using a multimeter, test the drawer switch for continuity when the drawer is fully closed. If it does not change state (open/closed), replace the switch or the dispenser housing assembly.
• Control reset: Restore power and perform a control reset by unplugging for 1 minute, then plugging back in and trying a new cycle.
