Washer-dryer combo will not start or advance and displays dL on the control panel.

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door lock or control panel.

• Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Ensure no clothing is trapped between the door and the gasket.
• Inspect door strike: Look at the plastic door strike on the door. If it is cracked, loose, or missing, the lock cannot engage. Tighten screws or replace the door strike if damaged.
• Listen for lock: Start a cycle and listen for the click of the door lock engaging. If there is no sound, the lock may be faulty.
• Access door lock: With power off, remove the front panel or door boot clamp (depending on model) to access the door lock assembly. Check for broken plastic, burn marks, or loose connectors.
• Test the lock: Use a multimeter to test the lock solenoids and switches for continuity according to the service manual. If readings are out of spec, replace the door lock assembly.
• Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the lock to the main control board (MCU/CCU) for pinched, broken, or corroded wires. Repair or replace as needed.
