How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the motor or underside of the unit.
- Inspect harness: Access the drive motor and check the multi-pin connector for a secure fit and no corrosion.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is jammed between the drum and tub that could stall the motor.
- Test tachometer: Using the service manual, test the tachometer coil on the motor for proper resistance. Replace the motor if the tach is open or shorted.
- Control board: If the motor and tach test good, the motor drive circuit on the main control may be faulty and require replacement.
