Washer-dryer combo displays F26 and may not start or may stop unexpectedly.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before servicing the door lock or control.

• Check door operation: Open and close the door, listening for the lock click. If no click, the lock may be faulty.
• Access door lock: Remove the front panel or boot clamp to reach the door lock assembly. Inspect for damage and secure connections.
• Test switch contacts: Use a multimeter to verify that the door-closed and lock switches change state when the door is closed and locked. Replace the lock if they do not.
• Inspect harness and control: Check wiring from the lock to the main control. If wiring is good and the lock tests good, the control board may be defective.
