Possible Causes
Failed drive motor, Open motor winding, Faulty motor control circuit on main board, Loose motor harness connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the motor or underside of the combo.
- Check for overload: Remove some items from the drum and try a smaller load. Overloading can cause motor faults.
- Inspect drive system: Access the rear or bottom panel to inspect the drive motor, belt (if belt-driven), and pulley. Look for broken belts, seized pulleys, or foreign objects.
- Check wiring: Ensure the motor harness connector is fully seated and free of corrosion or burn marks.
- Test motor: With the motor removed and using a multimeter, test the windings for continuity and proper resistance. If open or shorted, replace the motor.
- Control board: If the motor and wiring test good, the motor drive circuit on the main control board may be defective. Replace the main control board if confirmed by diagnostic procedures.
