Possible Causes

Severely unbalanced laundry load, Worn suspension shock absorbers, Faulty drum speed detection (tachometer), Excessive suds causing imbalance detection

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before internal inspection.

  • Redistribute the load: Open the door once safe, remove and separate heavy items (e.g., towels, blankets). Reload evenly around the drum and run a spin-only program.
  • Check machine leveling: Ensure the washer-dryer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the feet and lock them in place.
  • Inspect suspension: Remove the rear panel and gently push down on the drum. It should move smoothly and rebound without excessive bouncing. If the tub oscillates or bangs, the shock absorbers may be worn and should be replaced in pairs.
  • Reduce detergent use: Excess foam can interfere with spin detection. Use HE detergent and follow Amica dosage guidelines.
  • If E08 repeats with light, balanced loads: The tachometer or control board may be misreading speed. Further electrical diagnosis of the motor and PCB is required.
