Possible Causes
Shorted drive motor windings, Shorted motor triac on main PCB, Damaged motor wiring harness, Moisture ingress on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance immediately. Do not repeatedly reset and run if E09 appears, as this may damage electronics further.
- Check for burning smell: If you notice a burnt odor from the rear or control panel, suspect motor or PCB damage.
- Inspect motor and wiring: Remove the rear panel and visually inspect the motor and harness for burn marks, melted insulation, or loose connectors. Repair any damaged wiring.
- Test motor windings: With a multimeter, measure resistance between motor terminals and from each terminal to the motor frame (earth). Very low resistance between windings or any continuity to earth indicates a shorted motor that must be replaced.
- Control board inspection: Remove the top cover and access the main PCB. Look for burnt components near the motor triac or relay. If damage is visible, the board must be replaced or professionally repaired.
- Due to the high risk of further damage and safety concerns, E09 faults are best handled by a qualified technician.
