Possible Causes

Blocked condenser unit, Clogged lint filter or air ducts, Faulty dryer fan motor, Moisture sensor contamination

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before working near the heater or ducts.

  • Clean condenser: Access the condenser (often behind a lower front flap). Remove it and rinse thoroughly under running water to clear lint and detergent residue. Allow to drain and dry before refitting.
  • Clean ducts and fan: Remove panels as needed to access the dryer air path. Vacuum and wipe out lint from ducts and around the fan impeller. Ensure the fan spins freely.
  • Check moisture sensors: Inside the drum, locate the metal moisture sensor strips (usually near the door opening). Clean them with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove film that can affect sensing.
  • Test a drying cycle: Run a timed drying program with a small load and verify that air flow is strong and that E12 does not recur.
