Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Faulty drive motor, Defective motor capacitor (if fitted), Faulty motor control on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance.
- Check drum movement: Turn the drum by hand. If it spins freely, the belt or motor is suspect; if seized, suspect bearings or foreign objects.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is present and correctly tensioned. Replace if broken or badly worn.
- Test motor: With the belt off, run a short spin (only if you are qualified to work around live equipment) or test motor windings with a multimeter. Replace the motor if open or shorted.
- If motor and belt are good: The control board may not be supplying power to the motor and may require replacement.
