Washer-dryer makes loud banging or knocking noises during spin

Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Do not continue to run the machine if it is violently shaking.

• Check load: Open the door and redistribute laundry. Avoid single heavy items; add a few smaller items to balance.
• Verify leveling: Adjust the feet so the machine is stable and does not rock. Lock the feet in place.
• Inspect suspension: Remove the rear panel and observe the tub. Check that springs are intact and attached, and that shock absorbers are firmly bolted and not leaking oil.
• Replace worn parts: If the tub bounces excessively when pushed, replace the shock absorbers in pairs. Tighten or replace loose counterweights as needed.
