Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter or condenser (if condenser type), blocked air ducts, failed dryer fan motor, partially failed dryer heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and allow the unit to cool.
Steps:
- Clean filters: Remove and clean any accessible lint filters and condenser units according to the user manual.
- Check airflow: Inspect air intake and exhaust grilles for obstructions (lint, dust).
- Fan operation: During a dryer cycle, listen for the fan. If silent, access the fan motor and check for obstructions or motor failure; replace if necessary.
- Heater check: Verify that the dryer heater is energizing (see F14). Partial heater failure can reduce drying efficiency.
Tip: Avoid overloading; drying performance drops significantly with overloaded drums.
