Display shows 'Door' or door symbol; cycle will not start or door remains locked at end.

Safety: Unplug before removing any panels.

Checks:

• Ensure closure: Firmly close the door until you hear a positive click. Remove any laundry trapped between door and seal.
• Inspect seal and hinge: Check that the door seal is seated correctly and the hinge is not loose or bent.
• Door lock test: If the message persists, follow the steps under F17 to inspect and test the door lock and catch.
• Reset: After any work, reconnect power and try to start a short cycle to verify that the door locks and unlocks correctly.

Warning: Forcing the door open while locked can damage the lock and the front panel.
