- Access sensor: On top-load combos, the drum position sensor is usually mounted near the drum pulley or side of the tub.
- Inspect sensor and magnet: Ensure the sensor and any associated magnet or cam are intact and aligned.
- Check wiring: Verify the harness from the sensor to the control board is secure and undamaged.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to check for expected resistance or switching behavior as the drum is rotated (refer to service data).
- Replace sensor: If readings are out of spec, replace the drum position sensor.
