Possible Causes

Loose or split sump hose, leaking drain hose connection, worn tub-to-pump hose clamp, failing tub bearing seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug and shut off water. Tilt the machine only with assistance to avoid injury.

Steps:

  • Visual inspection: Remove rear and lower front panels. Run a short fill cycle while observing (use a torch) to locate the leak source.
  • Check hoses: Inspect the large black sump hose from tub to pump, and the drain hose to the outlet. Tighten clamps and replace any hose with cracks or bulges.
  • Pump housing: Check for leaks around the pump body and filter cap; replace seals or pump if cracked.
  • Tub seal: If water appears at the rear center of the tub near the pulley, the main tub bearing seal may be failing, requiring tub/bearing replacement.

Warning: Disconnect power before reaching inside the cabinet while water is present.
