Possible Causes

Blocked pressure sensor hose, Faulty water level pressure sensor, Stuck-open water inlet valve, Control board water level circuit failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off water supply immediately if overfilling occurs.

  • Drain excess water: Use the emergency drain (pump filter area) or run a drain-only cycle if possible to remove water from the drum.
  • Inspect pressure hose: Access the top of the machine and locate the small rubber hose running from the tub air chamber to the pressure sensor. Remove the hose and blow through it; it should be clear. Clean any soap residue or lint blockage.
  • Check the pressure sensor: Ensure the electrical connector is firmly seated. If you have a multimeter and the service manual, test the sensor according to Asko specifications. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
  • Test inlet valve for sticking: With water supply off and power disconnected, remove the inlet hoses and inspect the water inlet valve. If water continues to drip through the valve when disconnected from power, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.

If E04 recurs after hose and valve checks, the main control board may be misreading the level sensor; professional service is recommended.
