Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced laundry load, Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Loose drum suspension or shock absorbers, Control board speed sensing fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Wait for the drum to stop completely before opening the door.
- Redistribute load: Open the door and check if heavy items (e.g., towels, blankets) are bunched on one side. Redistribute or remove some items and restart the spin cycle.
- Check leveling: Ensure the Asko combo is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the feet and lock them in place. Excessive vibration can trigger unbalance errors.
- Inspect suspension: Unplug the unit, remove the rear or side panels, and inspect shock absorbers and suspension springs. Look for oil leakage, broken mounts, or excessive play. Replace worn shocks.
- Check tachometer wiring: At the motor, verify the tachometer connector is secure and wires are not damaged. A poor connection can cause erratic speed readings.
If E08 recurs with normal loads and good suspension, the tachometer or control board may need replacement; professional testing is advised.
