Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray activating float switch, Loose hose clamp on tub or pump, Cracked tub or sump hose, Faulty inlet valve weeping when off
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply immediately when a leak is suspected.
- Check for visible leaks: Look around and under the machine for water. Pull the unit out carefully if necessary.
- Inspect base tray: Remove the lower front or rear panel to access the base. Many Asko combos have a float switch in the base tray. If water is present, carefully sponge it out and dry the area.
- Identify source: With the base dry, briefly reconnect water and observe hoses and connections while filling. Pay attention to the tub-to-pump hose, drain pump housing, and inlet valve connections.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and replace a leaking water inlet valve or pump housing as needed.
Do not bypass the float switch. If you cannot locate the leak source, contact a technician; hidden leaks can cause electrical hazards and floor damage.
