Possible Causes
Unbalanced load detection preventing spin, Faulty door lock spin enable contact, Worn motor brushes (on brush motor models), Defective motor control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Redistribute load: Remove heavy items and run a spin-only cycle with a smaller, balanced load.
- Check door lock: A separate contact in the door lock assembly often signals that the door is locked for spin. Test this contact for continuity during spin. Replace the lock if faulty.
- Inspect motor (brush type): If your Asko combo uses a brushed motor, remove the motor and inspect the carbon brushes. Replace if worn below manufacturer minimum length.
If the motor and lock are good, the motor control section of the main board may be defective and should be tested by a technician.
