Possible Causes

Blown mains fuse or tripped breaker, Faulty Asko line filter or noise suppressor, Defective power switch or user interface board, Loose mains wiring at terminal block

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Always turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the unit before opening any panels. Mains voltage can be lethal.

  • Check household supply: Verify the wall outlet has power by testing with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses.
  • Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, replace the power cord assembly.
  • Access terminal block: Remove the rear cover to inspect the mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and look for burnt connections.
  • Check line filter: Many Asko combos use a mains interference filter. Inspect it for burn marks or bulging. Test continuity through the filter; replace if open.
  • UI and power switch: If the machine has a physical power button, test it for continuity. For touch panels, check the low-voltage harness from the main board to the user interface.

If you are not experienced with live electrical diagnostics, stop after basic external checks and call a professional.
