Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the unit before opening any panels. Mains voltage can be lethal.
- Check household supply: Verify the wall outlet has power by testing with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, replace the power cord assembly.
- Access terminal block: Remove the rear cover to inspect the mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and look for burnt connections.
- Check line filter: Many Asko combos use a mains interference filter. Inspect it for burn marks or bulging. Test continuity through the filter; replace if open.
- UI and power switch: If the machine has a physical power button, test it for continuity. For touch panels, check the low-voltage harness from the main board to the user interface.
If you are not experienced with live electrical diagnostics, stop after basic external checks and call a professional.
