How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply before working around the door seal.
- Inspect gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the door gasket all around, especially the bottom. Look for tears, holes, or mold damage.
- Clean gasket: Wipe the gasket groove with a damp cloth to remove lint and debris that can prevent a proper seal.
- Check clamps: Gently pull back the gasket lip to locate the outer and inner retaining clamps. Tighten or reposition if they have slipped.
- Replace gasket if damaged: Remove the retaining clamps, pull off the old gasket, and install a new Asko-compatible gasket, ensuring alignment marks match. Refit clamps securely.
- Use HE detergent: Ensure you are using high-efficiency detergent in the correct amount to prevent excessive suds that can push past the seal.
