Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Failed drive motor, Faulty motor control board (inverter), Loose motor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing any panels. Do not run the unit with covers removed.
- Check for overloading: Remove excess laundry and try a smaller test load. Overloading can prevent proper spin and trigger an error.
- Inspect the drive belt: Remove the rear panel. Locate the drive belt around the motor pulley and drum pulley. Ensure the belt is intact, not frayed, and properly tensioned. If the belt is off or broken, replace it with the correct Avanti drive belt.
- Check drum movement: Manually rotate the drum from the front. It should turn smoothly without grinding. If it is seized, there may be a bearing or foreign-object issue.
- Inspect motor connections: Verify the motor wiring harness is fully seated and not burnt or loose at the motor and control board ends.
- Test spin again: After reassembly, run a spin-only cycle. If the drum still does not move and you hear only a click or hum, the motor or motor control board may be defective.
- Professional service: Motor and control board diagnosis requires live voltage testing and should be performed by a qualified technician.
