Washer-dryer combo displays E6 and will not start or complete a cycle; door may not lock properly.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the door lock or front panel. Do not bypass safety interlocks.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by clothing. Press firmly on the door and try starting the cycle again.
• Inspect door strike: Examine the plastic or metal door strike on the door edge. If cracked, bent, or loose, tighten screws or replace the strike.
• Listen for lock engagement: When starting a cycle, you should hear a click as the door lock engages. If there is no click and E6 appears, the lock may be faulty.
• Access door lock: Remove the front panel or door gasket clamp (depending on model) to access the door lock assembly. Check the wiring harness for loose or burnt connectors.
• Replace lock if needed: If the lock shows signs of damage or tests open with a multimeter, replace it with an OEM Avanti door lock assembly.
