Possible Causes
Torn or worn door gasket, Foreign object trapped between gasket and door, Loose door gasket clamp, Excessive suds causing foam overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply before inspecting for leaks.
- Inspect gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber door boot all the way around. Look for tears, holes, or areas where the gasket has pulled away from the tub.
- Remove debris: Wipe out coins, hairpins, or lint trapped in the gasket folds. These can prevent a proper seal.
- Check clamps: Verify the inner and outer retaining clamps are tight and the gasket is evenly seated on the tub and front panel.
- Control suds: Use only HE detergent and the recommended amount. Run a rinse cycle without detergent to clear excess suds if needed.
- Replace gasket: If the gasket is damaged, replace it with an Avanti door gasket. This requires removing the front panel or retaining bands and carefully fitting the new boot.
