Possible Causes
Clogged inlet water filter screens, Defective water inlet valve, Low household water pressure or closed tap, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor or hose blockage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify water supply: Ensure the wall tap is fully open and that there is adequate water pressure. Check that the inlet hose is not kinked or crushed behind the machine.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off the tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the Balay washer-dryer, and remove the small mesh filter(s) from the valve with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under running water and reinstall.
- Test the inlet valve: With the machine unplugged, remove the top cover and locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check the electrical connectors. Use a multimeter to measure coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a faulty valve that must be replaced.
- Check pressure sensor hose: Locate the pressure switch / water level sensor (usually near the top side) and inspect the thin rubber hose from the tub to the sensor for blockages (soap scum, lint) or cracks. Clean or replace the hose as needed.
- Test cycle: Reassemble, restore water and power, and run a rinse cycle. If E02 persists with good supply and a new valve, the pressure sensor or main control module may require professional diagnosis.
