Possible Causes
Water leak from tub seal or hose, Leaking detergent drawer or inlet hose, Activated float switch in base tray, Faulty Aqua-Stop inlet hose (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap immediately. Do not continue using the machine until the leak is found and repaired.
Step-by-step checks:
- Check base tray: Carefully tilt the washer-dryer slightly backward and look underneath for water in the base tray. Many Balay models have a float switch that triggers E11 when water is present.
- Dry the base: If water is present, absorb it with towels or a sponge. Do not bypass the float switch; find the source of the leak.
- Inspect hoses and seals: Remove the top and rear panels. Check the inlet hose, detergent drawer housing, tub-to-pump hose, recirculation hoses, and door seal for cracks, loose clamps, or traces of dried detergent and water.
- Test Aqua-Stop hose (if fitted): If your Balay uses an Aqua-Stop inlet hose, inspect the external casing for swelling or leaks. Replace the Aqua-Stop inlet hose if compromised.
- Repair and test: Tighten or replace leaking hoses and clamps. Replace a damaged door gasket or tub seal as needed. After repairs, run a short cycle while monitoring for leaks before reinstalling panels.
