E17
Balay
Water Supply Pressure / Flow Error
Washer-dryer shows E17 shortly after starting; water fill stops prematurely

Possible Causes
Insufficient mains water pressure, Partially closed or faulty tap, Clogged inlet hose or valve filter, Faulty flow meter (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify water pressure: Open the tap fully and check flow by filling a bucket. Weak flow indicates a plumbing issue that must be resolved.
- Clean inlet filters: Remove the inlet hose from the back of the machine and clean the mesh filter in the inlet valve as well as any filter in the hose end.
- Check hose condition: Ensure the hose is not kinked or internally collapsed. Replace if suspect.
- Flow meter (if present): Some Balay models use a flow sensor integrated with the inlet valve. Inspect the connector and wiring. If the sensor is defective, replace the inlet valve/flow meter assembly.
- Re-test: Reconnect and run a rinse cycle. If E17 persists with good pressure and clean filters, the pressure sensor or control board may require professional diagnosis.
