Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or hose, faulty analog pressure sensor, loose pressure hose connection at tub or sensor, wiring fault to pressure sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply.
Inspect pressure system:
- Locate pressure sensor: Usually mounted high on the side wall under the top cover, connected to the tub by a thin rubber hose.
- Check hose: Remove the hose from the sensor and tub nipple. Blow gently through it; it should be clear. If blocked, rinse with hot water and clear soap or lint buildup.
- Clean pressure chamber: At the tub connection, ensure the small port is not clogged with detergent residue. Use a small brush or cable tie to gently clear it.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Check the multi-pin connector on the pressure sensor for corrosion or loose pins. Reseat firmly. Inspect wiring back to the control board.
Test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a rinse/spin cycle. If F04 persists, the pressure sensor itself is likely defective and should be replaced.
