Possible Causes

Open-circuit heating element, faulty heater relay on control board, loose heater wiring, tripped thermal cut-out on heater assembly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect from mains and allow the machine to cool.

Check heater assembly:

  • Access heater: Remove the rear panel. The heater is mounted in the lower part of the tub with two terminals and an earth connection.
  • Measure resistance: With a multimeter, measure across the heater terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates a blown element.
  • Inspect wiring: Ensure the heater connectors are tight and free of burning. Check the earth connection is secure.
  • Thermal cut-out: Some Bauknecht units have a resettable thermal fuse on the heater housing. Check for a small button; if present and popped, press to reset.

Control board: If the heater tests good but F07 persists, the heater relay or triac on the main control may be faulty and the board may require replacement.
