Washer-dryer does not drain; water remains in drum and program stops or will not spin

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and keep towels or a shallow tray ready to catch water.

• Step 1 – Access and clean pump filter: Open the lower front service flap. Place a tray or towels under the filter cap. Slowly unscrew the filter to let water drain out. Remove the filter completely and clear any lint, coins, buttons, or debris. Check inside the pump housing for obstructions.
• Step 2 – Check pump impeller: With the filter removed, gently rotate the pump impeller with your finger. It should turn freely without grinding or excessive play. If jammed or loose, the pump may need replacement.
• Step 3 – Inspect drain hose: Follow the drain hose from the back of the machine to the standpipe or sink. Ensure it is not kinked, crushed, or blocked. Detach and flush it through with water if necessary.
• Step 4 – Test pump electrically: With power disconnected and rear or bottom panel removed (depending on model), locate the drain pump. Check the wiring connector is secure. Use a multimeter to measure coil resistance; an open circuit or shorted reading indicates a failed pump.
• Step 5 – Replace pump if needed: If the pump is noisy, seized, or electrically faulty, replace the drain pump assembly with a compatible Beko part. Reassemble, restore power, and run a drain or spin cycle to confirm operation.
