Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Faulty water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Control board not reading pressure correctly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off the water supply immediately if overfilling occurs.

  • Step 1 – Check water level: If the drum is full of water, manually drain via the pump filter or use a wet/dry vacuum at the drain hose before opening any internal components.
  • Step 2 – Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom of the tub/air chamber to the pressure switch. Check for kinks, splits, or blockages. Detach and blow through the hose; it should be clear.
  • Step 3 – Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, the pressure hose connects to a small chamber that can clog with detergent residue. Carefully remove and clean this chamber with hot water until all sludge is removed.
  • Step 4 – Test pressure switch: With the hose reconnected, gently blow into it while listening for clicks from the pressure switch. If no clicks are heard or the switch tests open/closed incorrectly with a multimeter, replace the pressure switch.
  • Step 5 – Check inlet valve: Turn water back on and observe whether water flows into the machine when it is switched off. If water continues to enter, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
  • Step 6 – Control board: If all components are functional but E04 persists, the main PCB may be misreading the pressure signal and should be checked by a professional.
