Washer-dryer does not heat water during wash; clothes come out cold and detergent not dissolving properly

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and ensure the drum is cool before working near the heater.

• Step 1 – Confirm symptom: Run a 60°C cotton cycle and pause after 20–30 minutes. Carefully touch the door glass; if it remains cold and E05 is displayed, suspect a heating issue.
• Step 2 – Access heater terminals: Remove the rear panel to access the heater at the bottom of the tub. Identify the heater terminals and NTC sensor connector.
• Step 3 – Test heater element: With wires disconnected, measure resistance across the heater terminals using a multimeter. Typical values are around 20–30 Ω (check Beko specs). An open circuit or very low resistance indicates a faulty heater that must be replaced.
• Step 4 – Test NTC sensor: Disconnect the NTC and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with Beko's specified range (commonly 20–30 kΩ at 20°C). If readings are far off or do not change with temperature, replace the NTC sensor.
• Step 5 – Inspect wiring and connectors: Check for burnt connectors, loose spades, or damaged insulation between the heater/NTC and the PCB. Repair or replace any damaged wiring.
• Step 6 – Control board check: If heater and NTC are good and wiring is intact, the heater relay on the PCB may be faulty. This typically requires PCB repair or replacement by a qualified technician.
