Possible Causes
Blocked or partially blocked drain system, Incorrect drain hose installation causing siphoning, Faulty pressure switch, Air leak in pressure hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and be prepared for water spillage when opening filters or hoses.
- Step 1 – Clean pump filter and hose: Open the pump filter cover, drain residual water, and remove debris as described for E03. Ensure the drain hose is clear and not kinked.
- Step 2 – Check drain hose height: Verify that the drain hose is installed at the correct height specified by Beko (usually 60–100 cm above floor). If it is too low or inserted too far into the standpipe, water can siphon out and confuse the pressure system.
- Step 3 – Inspect pressure hose and chamber: Remove the top cover and check the small pressure hose and chamber for blockages or splits. Clean and reseat securely.
- Step 4 – Test pressure switch: As with E04, test the pressure switch for proper clicking and continuity changes when pressure is applied. Replace if faulty.
- Step 5 – Reset and test: After reassembly, run a rinse and spin cycle. If E09 persists, further diagnosis of the PCB and pressure circuit by a technician is recommended.
