Possible Causes
Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Broken wiring to dryer NTC, PCB sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before working on the drying system.
- Step 1 – Access dryer NTC: Depending on model, remove the top or rear panel to locate the dryer NTC sensor mounted on the air duct or heater housing.
- Step 2 – Inspect and reseat connector: Check the NTC plug for corrosion or looseness. Disconnect and reconnect to ensure a solid connection.
- Step 3 – Test NTC resistance: Measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare with Beko specifications. If the reading is open circuit, shorted, or far out of range, replace the dryer NTC sensor.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Follow the NTC wires back to the PCB, looking for damage or pinched sections. Repair as needed.
- Step 5 – PCB diagnosis: If a known-good NTC and wiring are present but E12 remains, the PCB may have a defective temperature input circuit and should be evaluated by a professional.
