Possible Causes
Burnt or open-circuit inlet valve coil, Loose inlet valve connector, Broken wiring to inlet valve, PCB output failure to valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before servicing.
- Step 1 – Confirm water supply: Ensure water pressure is adequate and hose filters are clean (see E02).
- Step 2 – Test inlet valve coil: Access the inlet valve from the top. Disconnect the electrical connector and measure resistance across the coil. An open circuit indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Step 3 – Inspect connector and wiring: Check for signs of overheating or corrosion at the valve connector. Repair or replace damaged connectors and wiring.
- Step 4 – PCB output check: If the valve coil is good, a technician can test whether the PCB is supplying voltage to the valve during fill. Lack of output suggests a PCB fault.
