E18

Unbalanced Load Detection / Spin Abort
Washer-dryer shows unbalanced load error; spin does not start or stops repeatedly

Possible Causes
Load too small or too large, Laundry tangled into a single heavy bundle, Worn suspension shock absorbers, Faulty motor tachometer feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not bypass safety systems to force a spin with a severely unbalanced load.
- Step 1 – Redistribute load: Open the door (once safe) and separate heavy items. Mix large and small garments to balance the load. Avoid washing a single heavy item alone.
- Step 2 – Check machine level: Ensure the washer-dryer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the feet and lock the nuts.
- Step 3 – Inspect suspension: If the machine shakes excessively even with balanced loads, inspect the shock absorbers and suspension springs for leaks, wear, or detachment. Replace worn shocks.
- Step 4 – Motor feedback: If E18 appears with normal loads and minimal vibration, test the motor tachometer as described for E08.
